Adult education

Several light bulbs with words in them that include "development," "learning," growth," "education,"

I have been in the education and training (there is a difference) business for over three decades. I am very interested in how people learn, assessment of learning, teaching methodology, curriculum development and delivery, and educational philosophy. I am also fascinated by thinking about who is considered to be educated and how we know they are educated when we see them. It is possible that a person without a single college degree can be more educated than a person with one.

Academic Papers and Non-published (Gray Literature) Works

This paper is a detailed statistical analysis of student pass/fail rates on the National Registry of EMTs written credentialing exam. The results are in Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendations (SBAR) format for easy review and quick action. An SBAR and follow-up resolution report is critical for accreditation. This service is available for any discipline/field and measurements.

There has been some controversy regarding the accreditation of paramedic programs. This is my academic response, which was sent to the National Registry of EMTs for consideration. I am available to research, guide, and assist in writing thoughtful and evidence-based responses to any situations you encounter, regardless of the field or discipline.

This paper is the basis of a presentation given at a career and technical educator conference. The allied health professions are desperately short of qualified personnel to fill vacant spots. The community and technical college systems are part and parcel of the problem and solution. I am available to analyze any number of similar situations, regardless of field or discipline.
